Hi. I’m Caroline Schiff, but you might know me as @PastrySchiff, and maybe you know my desserts - my whimsical baked Alaskas, floral adorned layer cakes, buttery shortbreads, chewy bagels, and crusty loaves of sourdough. I’ve been in the business of baked goods for over a decade, working my way through numerous restaurants and bakeries, before landing at my current position as the Executive Pastry Chef of Gage & Tollner, in my hometown, NYC. Along the way, I authored a cookbook, “The Sweet Side of Sourdough”, became a James Beard Outstanding Pastry Chef Award Nominee 2022, and was named one of Food + Wine's Best New Chefs 2022. These days I’m in and out of the kitchen - I write, create, develop recipes, consult, and make sweet dreams come true!
